Feb. 14 is St. Valentine's day. We Japanese also serebrate this event every year as we do for Christmas. Well, we Japanese don't have long Christianity's backgrounds, but seem to be very good at enjoying it in our way.
In St. Valentin's day, people in the world exchange gifts, flowers, or love feelings between families, or couples. Men to women, women to men, men to men, women to women and whatever.... This event seems to be for everyone, but Japanese one is ONLY for women. That's Boring!!!
Anyway, Japanese St. Valentine's day is considered by women as one chance in a year to confess their love feelings to a person in love. Single women, or not express their love giving heart-shaped chocolates, or other items.
I think that it is a good oppotunity for those who are very shy in expressing love. They maybe think like, " Everyone is encouraged or braved to express love! Why not me for the next". If those loves are accepted, or not, the God only knows. "FATE".
I sometimes feel unfair that this fun event is only for women in Japan, but am I brave enough to join this even? NO!!! You may not believe that I'm too shy to express love to someone in love. It't true!!! In that point, I'm a typical Japanese. Anyway, I always admire people who can easily do that, and think that the God always lead us to a right person at a right place, and furthermore at a PERFET timing. All we need to do is relax and listen to our inner voice. Once it occurs to us, take an action!
I wish all a HAPPY ending!!!
(80's best love song. When one falls in love with someone, it is definetly like that)
